if you give a dog a cookie

It’s probably because you baked them for your boyfriend, who you are trying to make love you even more by slowly lulling him into a food coma.

{inn’he cute?}

If you give a dog a cookie (without chocolate, of course), all night long he will claw, whine and beg for more.

If you give a dog a cookie, he will inevitably follow you around with or without a bizarre-looking bird plushie while you’re frantically trying to pack to meet your boyfriend for a weekend rendezvous. Your dog will look at you with his big, sad puppy eyes and plead, why aren’t you paying attention to me?

If you give a dog a cookie, especially a magic cookie with a soft and almost creamy center….he will love you forever.

What makes these cookies so ooey-gooey, soft and chewy? Sour cream.

Yum.

Thank you, Betty Crocker, for your Cookie Book.

Sour Cream-Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies
Recipe from here
Makes about 30 cookies

1-1/2 C sugar
1/2 C sour cream
1/4 C butter
1/4 C shortening
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2-1/4 C AP flour (I used half whole wheat pastry)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 C (1 pkg) milk chocolate chips

Beat sugar, sour cream, butter, shortening, vanilla and egg in a large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. (Refrigerate overnight)

Heat oven to 350*. Use a small ice cream scoop to drop dough on cookie sheet. Bake 12-14 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Cool for a couple minutes and move to wire rack.
