Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake

When I moved up to Minnesota, my mom sent with me a whole bag of awesome baking supplies: flour, sugar, baking soda, powder, oil, etc. Knowing that Bri and I would kind of be starting from scratch (with the exception of his parents’ generous contributions) it was so nice to not have to run to the store and spend $50 on baking supplies right away.

In the bag, she also included ingredients for her famous Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake. Now, I’m not a huge fan of chocolate cake (much like my embarrassing admission that I don’t really like pie) but this stuff is “out of bounds” as Guy Fieri would say. Super moist and dense and chocolate-y and yum!

Plus, like pretty much every recipe I’ve ever tried and posted, it’s easy to make. Even take a look at the box:

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cake

1 box Devils Food cake mix
1 large box instant chocolate pudding
1 cup sour cream
3/4 cup oil
1/2 cup water
4 large eggs
12 oz package of chocolate chips

Mix ingredients well (add chocolate chips last). Pour into well greased bundt pan; bake at 350 for 50 – 55 minutes. DO NOT overbake. Cool 10 minutes in pan, then remove to a plate. Cool. Top with powdered sugar.
