This awesome apple cobbler.

it absolutely, definitely needs vanilla ice cream to accompany it. but this crumble is homey and comforting, chewy and sweet, and perfectly acceptable breakfast.

By the way, if you’re planning on making any apple desserts at all this fall/winter, I highly suggest you invest in an apple corer/slicer/peeler. They’re only about $20-30 and it makes the whole process sooo much easier!

And one more tip about this cobbler: don’t shy away from the 9 cups of apples it calls for. It looks like a lot when they’re in the pan, but remember, they cook down quite a bit.

    Looks delicious. I was hoping to get the recipe but it looks like there is too much butter in it for my new vegetarian lifestyle.

      Thanks, Tom! There is a recipe – it’s linked in the first sentence. Sorry it’s not more obvious. Also, there is butter in the crumble but it can easily be replaced by margarine. (although I think it’s kosher for vegetarians to eat butter…?)
